Police Harassment of the Filton24 Latest

Over the last month both Qesser and Kamran were arrested. Kamran was violently arrested whilst peacefully leaving a protest, and Qesser’s home was raided at 6am by masked Counter-Terrorism police. These were terrifying experiences but both Qesser and Kamran showed resilience in the face of oppression. Once bailed, Qesser recentred her experience in solidarity with Palestinian prisoners, whilst Kamran kept calling for people to show up at Woolwich crown court to support the Filton6 Retrial during his arrest.

Kamran was released and given an ASBO from the area the protest was in. He has not been charged.

Qesser’s case has been dropped entirely by the courts.

Back in February, Ellie’s phone was also confiscated when police came to her house over a social media post. The phone has since been returned.
